Your dialogue really communicated personality here; and the aging of your central figure as her obsession matures growing knowledge, not fully understood, was a great way for us to appreciate her and apprehend Atlantis as it might have been, vs. the myths that circulate around it. Then, following this through to the Pegasus galaxy and Essie and Nell's lifetimes was a sterling, stirring touch. I am glad I caught up with this and look forward to the sequel I see you have posted to it.
