1. I need some kind of political icon.
2. Well, Gordon Brown has fucked up a bit. I mean, I suppose he can't really say at a press conference that he's seen the recent polling data and doesn't think his party would win a general election at the moment, but still... it's not like anyone's being taken in by this "well, I thought about having a general election, but then I decided I had more things I felt like playing with" malarkey.
3. Also, I don't know, but I don't think the Tories are in *that* great shape at the moment. So they got a little bounce out of the party conference - so what? Their policies are still kind of fuzzy, and the constant dissatisfaction rumbling along with the party leadership, and which has really been a feature of the Conservatives since 1997, is not helping to stabilise them. I mean, they're happy with Cameron at the moment, but my understanding is that as recently as a couple of weeks ago there were mutterings about replacing him. Still, time will tell. I suppose it really doesn't matter what the Tories do - it's a matter of how hugely the government fucks up between now and the next general election. Plus, it's a no-brainer that the longer they stay in power now, the less likely they are to win the next election.

Or, that we voted on each 'sector' seperately and the winner for each section got the Cabinet position and the party with the most sectors got PM. (A bit like X Factor or similar...)
