"A polar bear fell on me."

Went into Richmond. Woolgars was closed - bother! Always forget that it doesn't open on Sundays. Went into Laura Ashley and got curtain material there - just what I wanted and dead cheap in the sale - yoicks! Also a lamp shade (£2 - once again, let me just say how much I love sales) and a couple of magazine holders. Got some vitamins and Nivea cream in Superdrug. Groceries in Tesco. No nice cottage cheese - boo.

Now that I am home, I have some tea loaf in the oven, have made apple and pear compote, hard-boiled some eggs and cooked some sweetcorn for inclusion in salad for lunch tomorrow. Also washed up. Oh, and chopped up pineapple. Later, will make tuna mayonnaise and chop up carrots etc. Tea tonight is the wonder of bbq chicken. Might go and tidy my room and change bedlinen. Or might just read a book. Tricky to tell at this stage.

[livejournal.com profile] pim2005: Still up for dinner tomorrow? If you'd like to stay the night, you are more than welcome.

[livejournal.com profile] ankaret: You got [livejournal.com profile] crack_vanned!!! How cool is that!

"Ron, I know it sounds harsh, but God does not want her to live."

Just to keep you all in the loop, I have now changed my bedlinen (hospital corners conspicuously absent, I must confess) and spoken to my grandparents. My grandmother is on fine form, despite inconvenience of cold. Mention that their tea loaf had brandy in; Grandma says that explains why she was dancing around the kitchen. Decide discretion is the better part of valour and do not point out that she is liable to do that anyway.

Have just realised that I owe about fifty letters, and so I will bid you adieu, and make some tiny inroads in my stationery stock...
