Just to keep you all in the loop, I have now changed my bedlinen (hospital corners conspicuously absent, I must confess) and spoken to my grandparents. My grandmother is on fine form, despite inconvenience of cold. Mention that their tea loaf had brandy in; Grandma says that explains why she was dancing around the kitchen. Decide discretion is the better part of valour and do not point out that she is liable to do that anyway.

Have just realised that I owe about fifty letters, and so I will bid you adieu, and make some tiny inroads in my stationery stock...

See, I know I am tired cos I read that as I have now changed my grandparents and spoken to my bedlinen. Hope the grandparentals are on good form ma mie. And indeed not drunk on cake. (Do you remember the vodka cake...?)
