Syndication Genius
Jun. 23rd, 2005 12:34 amHuzzah! I am a jaynius! I have managed to do the syndication thing for Strangers from an Antique Land so that it can be picked up on LJ. I feel all accomplished. If anyone wants to pick it up on their flist, head over to
cbb_squeen and friend away.
It must be said, however, that it does raise the question of exactly what the point is to having two blogs. But nevermind. I like the variety...

The Horror of U. Logan
Jun. 23rd, 2005 12:46 pmJust thought I'd share this.

She climbed to her feet, sauntered over to the lilacs, and nearly fell over Ginty, who was scribbling fast at was evidently a long letter. They only said, "Look out!" and "Sorry!", but Nicola thought resentfully that Gin needn't put her hand over the page as if she would instantly try to read it. It wasn't quite that, though. Ginty was simply very properly embarrassed at having just written: I feel as if part of me had died too, not because she felt anything of the sort, but because it was what Unity would like to read. For Unity had not only written a tremendous letter about the shock it has been to read of Cousin Jon's death, but also a poem called Threnody for Icarus. And if Unity felt all that, Ginty didn't see how she could very well feel less: after all, he was her cousin.

*g* Unity's so toxic!

Hmm. I wrote this a while ago, as a sequel (of sorts) to I Served Him Well, my little contribution to the hmm-what-happened-to-Percy movement. It's from Ginny's POV, but I'm not sure it really worked particularly well. Though I would post, anyway.
Odi & Amo
It’s hard to hate any more. We’re all so exhausted, and hating takes such a lot of effort. Emotional energy that nobody has. We spent so long in silent, impotent rage, in dumb, miserable resentment, that it’s a release now not to hate.
But I hate him.
( and the rest... )
