Ee, this whole Warriors for Innocence (what a ludicrous name, honestly!) thing is a bit random. People like that scare me.

Anyway, on to happier things. I have a laptop!! It's very new and very shiny and very lovely and I am v happy with it. I might even have been hugging it on the train home yesterday. Sadly, the internet cable driver thing doesn't recognise Vista, so I can't get the internet in the PF - might take it down to FT tonight when I take some clothes down, and see if it can pick up the wifi from the pub across the road. Sadly, I will not be able to load my free and lovely Microsoft Office, because it's on floppy disks (*g* it's Office 3.11 or something - my mother had it at work about a million years ago, and one installs that, and then upgrades to Office 2003 with the parental upgrade disk - it's a beautiful scheme, but sadly one that does not work with the computers of today due to lack of floppy drive), but will install Open Office, and it will all be fine. I have put on some music, but a random selection consisting of "CDs that were mixed up with computer disks and are thus rarely listened to" (Jewel - 0304; K's Choice - The Great Subconscious Club; K's Choice - Paradise In Me), as well as Caroline.

Have more or less finished packing up little room now; just need to clear out the rubbish and deal with the little bits left over. And then I need to do my bedroom. Fortunately, it's mostly just piles of clothes, but God knows what's under my bed. Heigh ho. We should be all done by Saturday. And people came to take away yet more furniture last night, so we're starting to look very bare.

Ooh, and my post yesterday was It's A Boy/Girl Thing and Supernatural 2.1 - yoicks! We watched the former last night - ee, it's a fine film. We're saving Supernatural for the Acklesfest. Oh, it's going to be good...

Yoicks!

The mater has just informed me that there is no need for 20 floppy disks, because she has acquired (through some magical, mystical means, into which I will not enquire further) a proper Office 2003 disk, so I can install it from scratch. Huzzah.

I have a computer! A computer with the internet! It's so very, very exciting...
