"Beauty has killed the Beast..."
Oct. 4th, 2007 01:05 pm♥ Shark Attack III last night was a beautiful, beautiful thing. The Bad Film Club is made of win, frankly. In the immortal words of Samuel J Snodgrass, "Laughed? I nearly died..."
♥ Ah, Richard, he's a card. Rang me this morning from halfway up a mountain somewhere in Europe to say he was having a meeting with BUPA on Monday, and thought it would be rather nifty to show them a map with dots for all his referrals in the past couple of years. Ah well, there's nowt like a challenge... I managed to query Practice Manager to get the patient demographics, and am currently toying with ways of plotting them. Best bet so far seems to be bopping off to Kathye's and stealing their copy of Map Point (if Darren can find it). Otherwise there's some PHP jiggery-pokery that can be done with Google Maps, but I don't for preference want to have to spend my weekend faffing with that. Heigh ho. Here's looking at you, Microsoft...
♥ I managed to get salad dressing all over my top. Boo.
♥ SPN! SPN on tonight! (Though I see some people on my flist seem to have downloaded it off iTunes a day early... sneaky...). We will download it tomorrow, and watch it when Katie gets back from Brownies, Marjorie (or, more to the point, Audrey) willing. SPN, Englebert!!
♥ Due to going out last night, we are now a little behind on telly-watching. We still have Dexter from the weekend, as well as NCIS, Bones, and whatever was on last night. Ours is a hard life, but we do our best and struggle on, complaining not.
♥ Spinach risotto for tea tonight, I have decided. Katie, if your parents fancy picking up some kind of fruit, I will make crumble too.
♥ Hmmmmm. My NCIS/Supernatural "crossover". Which sort of worked if you squinted. I think I had the NCIS people more or less in character, but Dean didn't really work. I think it's because I have dialogue fear, which I got over with the NCIS people after writing Class of '96, but still haven't done anything for with SPN - pretty much all my fics were dialogue-lite. Need to work on that. Also, y'know, maybe some kind of plot. But I really need to stop being such an instant gratification whore when it comes to posting/pimping stuff. I'm really bad at just writing stuff, and then posting/pimping straight away, instead of leaving it fallow for a day or two, and going back to it to tidy up. Note to self: must become more mature as writer.
♥ Oh, and Firefly fans? Check out the rumours...
