2. Well, we all bopped off to yonder beach-side for

megaleena’s birthday (Happy Official Birthday, by the way!). Mog, Ed, Katie and I got in about an hour of beachitude before it started raining and everyone else arrived. We had a car picnic! You can’t really say that summer’s arrived until you’ve had a car picnic, IMHO. They are a staple of our island lives. Sunday we watched Hollyoaks, and went shopping. I bought Superman pants in Top Shop. They may be the only item of clothing I have ever purchased there.

3. We’re off to see Landscape With Weapon tonight (randomly at the last minute), which I’m really looking forward to, because not only is it staffed by JRT and Tom Hollander, it sounds really interesting, though I will say I read a review that criticised its politics for being too glib and one-sided. But hey, my politics are glib and one-sided, so that works for me.

4. There is American spell-check on my Word. It’s very annoying. Obviously not annoying enough for me to have changed it yet, but still…

5. We in FT are *dying* to watch House of Wax. It has Chad! And Jared! And pre-ex-con!Paris! We were horrified on visiting our local Blockbusters, where it had been available to buy merely last weekend, to discover that it was no more! One can only presume that some strong-minded soul decided to put themselves through that wrenching experience. Also, much to our joy, they had Devour!!! Our Blockbusters rules.

6. Trains were fucked this morning. But it did at least mean that I need have no guilt for starting out late, anyway. I was heading for the 08.19, and ended up on the 07.49, so frankly it’s a good thing I wasn’t earlier, for I would have been pissed unto the extremity.

7. I found my Armageddon CD which I had thought lost, and put it on my laptop. Ee, it’s a beautiful compilation. But yes, for I have started to unpack my stuff, with the inevitable ongoing laundry attendant on any mass sort that I do. I have far, far too many clothes. Especially when I never seem to have *any*. But that problem will soon be moot. Y’know, what with the uniforms and everything… I think I’m going to be wearing a blue polyester blouse. The very words distress me. I may actually have to shoot myself.
