La. Am drinking hot chocolate and being antisocial as everyone else plays Mario Party in the living room. Am semi tempted to go and steal Darren and Kathye's bed and see if they notice...
I bought a new jumper yesterday on my way to meet Katie on the South Bank, on account of planning to groundling it at the Globe and only having my yellow and white stripy polo shirt to wear. It is grey and v-necked and very useful. I like Dorothy Perkins. It has any amount of weird, crap clothes, but is very good for just basic, normal stuff like v-necks and jeans and t-shirts and what have you.
I forgot to tell everyone how I passed the latter hours of my working day yesterday. Not on work, obviously. What are you, crazed? I started by trying to write out the whole of The Owl and the Pussycat without recourse to google, but I always get a bit stuck on the second verse. And then I moved on (for some unknown reason) to Orsino's opening speech from Twelfth Night, with which I had more success. Then I googled for the full text of Twelfth Night to check that I was right (I was mostly, though my lines had gone slightly skewhiff, as they are prone to, even when I tap out the iambic pentameter), and then, for reasons best known to be subconscious, briefly acted out Twelfth Night in my office, with me acting the part of Orsino. This was mostly in my head, on account of office policy meaning I have to keep my door open, but occasionally out loud when Orsino was getting particularly vehement about something. Pleased with the success of this enterprise, I then did the same with Much Ado, this time taking the part (obviously) of Beatrice. Sadly, I did not get to finish the play before it was time to go home, but that is probably for the best, as the first half is the most fun anyway.
