Why, why, why did I buy my travelcard last month on the 28th? What possible reason could I have had for doing something so fundamentally stupid? It was a miracle that (a) there weren't any ticket men coming off the train and (b) I had enough money to get the tube to work. I shall be walking to the National. Dear lord, please bring Wednesday here as soon as possible.
