chaletian♥ So, Sunderland is twinned with Washington DC… *g*
♥ I had a perfectly lovely weekend. Pottered around on Saturday, and did lots of kitcheniness, which I always enjoy. Bopping around, listening to Noel Coward or Diary of a Provincial Lady, doing a bit of cooking and a bit of washing up. On Sunday, I TIDIED MY ROOM. Yes, people, I actually TIDIED. I even emptied out my desk drawers and organised them and then unpacked the remaining boxes at the foot of my bed. It is a miracle. I also did about twenty loads of laundry (OK, two and some towels), so I have lots of clean clothes which I will NOT just dump on the floor when I take them off the clothes’ horse. I DUSTED. Actual dusting took place. I can see my floor. I can see my desk AND I can put things on it. And indeed in it. And then I changed my bed. It felt very good getting up this morning, and I remember that I always cope better when things are tidy – it’s just a shame that I am one of the most perennially untidy people in the history of the world ever. Heigh ho.
♥ We visited chez King yesterday, and played with les enfants. Somehow, Auntie Katie (and I discovered that it sounds like ‘antiquated’, which made me smile) and I got roped into drawing with Megan. Hannah is still officially the world’s most gorgeous baby. Had cheese on toast for tea but was faced with too many options and couldn’t cope with all the possible permutations. It was a trying moment. Fortunately, was rescued from despair and confusion by Katie, who normally makes my cheese and toast for me.
♥ Am going to try to wireless-ize my proper computer. It could go either way. Think of me this evening, as I wrestle with technology.
♥ Have put in a solid twenty minutes of present thinking, and have come up with several options for family. My mother wishes for a particular Wedgwood mug. Slightly boring, but easy, so yay.
♥ I have had good feedback for my SPN/TWW fic, but am now suffering from performance anxiety. It’s a difficult time. Will attempt part 12 today.
♥ Must email Chris with link to Bad Film Club (what *is* the link, btw?) and to find out if he wishes to go halves on familial presentage this Christmas.
