Would anyone care to join me in a game of Mornington Crescent?

I play a tentative Euston Square.

Which rule set would you like to use?

Ooh, how about of bit of interwar class - the '23 Rollsbury rules, with the Shoreditch variant?

Hmm...my knowledge of London is probably going to let me down here...however I'm game.

Hmm, an interesting choice there. I think I'll try a double-back-slipway (given that it's Monday) and play Gunnersbury.

I think this will work just as well here (ignore the deleted comment, there was no deleted comment)

LOL -the curse of the double-stranded game! I think there needs to be some readjustment of the rule book to take into account online playing...

Ha ha! I have a genius move!

Edgware Road.

Ah online mornington crescent...always interesting (you know there is a facebook group about this, but they scare me).

SO the only place I know to get to from Edgware Road has to be...Paddington Bear. Uh Station.

Hmm... Nid becomes a very real danger here... I think I had best be cautious: Embankment.

Well I think its time to play a reverse double here.

I think I'll come in with a cautious Mill Hill East.

Well, given that we're using the '23 Rollsbury *and* the Shoreditch variation (a fortuitous move on my part - almost as if I knew this situation would occur), I think I can reconcile these two moves, square a pavane and play: Goodge Street.

Last time we played on my LJ one game turned into 4 or 5... I think the trick is to think of an answer and type it elsewhere and then refresh just before you post (and hope nobody puts you into Spoon while your post goes through!)

ETA: proof in point, I was too slow!

Mill Hill East? I suppose I'd better play something safe after that, perilously close the that awful situation in the '87 final between Smith and Windsor.

Never mind the '87 final - bear in mind Chuntworth Lentable in '03 and his travails on the Northern line - I heard it haunted him to his death.

Ooh.

I think the only safe move from there on a Monday afternoon would have to be Seven Sisters.

...taking the line-speed down significantly and restricting me to three or four stations. I think I'll rely on the pull of the terminus and play Walthamstow Central.

Good grief, I'm not quite sure how to play on from there with the '23 Rollsbury rules in action! Can I still sidestep to

Given that it's not six o'clock yet, I'd say you're safe (the '23 rules are a little vague on hte point, I agree).

Chalk Farm.

Personally I'd say not. But it's all subject to interpretation. May I play a triple reverse and venture Bank?
