Surreptitiously stolen from [livejournal.com profile] r_scribbles:

- Put your music player on random;
- Post the first line from the first 25 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song;
- Let everyone guess what song and artist the lines come from;
- Bold the songs when someone guesses correctly;
- Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is cheating.

Oh, I recognise some of these! at least I think I do...

2) Vincent, Don McLean
4) Don't Fence Me In, Crosby
5) But diamonds are a girls best friend and I seem to have Sophia Loren singing this in my head, but I'm sure your version wont be by her.
6) Firefly theme song, take me out to the black, tell the I ain't coming back :D
9) Eurythmics, Miracle of Love?
11) Cash....gah title escapes me
12) Tim...lyrics go you never ever make me waitable delectable, inflatable you...then the weight and food and nope no title in my head. bugger.
14) Sounds a bit (but not totally) like the Divine COmedy/Neil Hannon Oscar Wilde song...I've been to a marvelous party. But I don't think it is. I'm just now singing it with those lyrics. And yes you are getting random rambly replies. Blame the long library shifts and addles brains from doing year 5 math homework explaining.
15) Has to be from Joseph. However seeing as I've never been able to sit through it I'll let the more musically inclined on the flist take over there :)
16) Oh where have all the cowboys gone? Cole
18) see 15
20) and he says he's been down this road more than once :) Sheryl Crow, Everyday is a winding road
23) see 15 but this time suggesting Les Mis. :)
25) and maybe there is nothing that I can do....mamma tells me I shouldn't bother...ought to stick to another a man that surely desrerves me but I think you do......... ah Love fool, Cardigans. Got there eventually.

Hmm I want to listen to songs now. damn not having anything loaded on here :(

8. Route 66? I have a Nat King Cole version so am thinking of that one...
15. It's from Joseph, quite early on - the one about his dreams where he becomes GodOverlord Of The Universe and all his brothers have to fall down and worship him...
23. Les Mis - the one ofter Fantine dies, Javert comes to arrest Valjean & they have a big fight and Valjean runs away to save Cosette. The name escapes me...

5. Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend - Marilyn Monroe
15. As others have said, it's from Joseph. I want to say that the it's actually "Joseph's Coat of Many Colours" but I can't quite fit your line to that tune. And since it's not a song sung by Joseph, I've no idea WHO the singer is...
20. Everyday is a Winding Road - Sheryl Crow
23 is obviously from Les Mis, but as I know that even worse than I know Joseph, I have no clue which song (cept suspecting it's not "Can You Hear The People Sing")

5 - Is it possibly Marilyn Monroe's version of Diamonds are a Girls best friend
15 - I'll go with the narrator on the recording I had of Joseph, which I believe was Maria Friedman, Track something like Joseph's Dreams
23 - Is called something like Confrontation at the Hospital - I'll go with Philip Quast as Javert, because we do like his voice and I saw him once as Banquo in Macbeth...

5 - Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend - Marilyn Monroe (?)
15 - I can't remember the title but it is from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat when Joseph describes his dreams.
23 - From Les Miserables - is it The Confrontation?

I may have wierd and wild spellings - I can't read the pale grey font!
