Happy Birthday, [livejournal.com profile] bookwormsarah! Hope you have been having a nice day. Sadly, I could not fic for you, but have written a WW pome instead:

Jed Bartlet was a president
A president was he
He fought for peace and happiness
For truth and liberty

Young Charlie was his body man
His body man was he
He suffered endless anecdotes
Of lit and history

McGarry was his chief of staff
Jed’s chief of staff was he
He ran the White House straight and then
Was elected for VP

Josh Lynam was his deputy
The deputy was he
He was the greatest in the land
His fangirls would agree

CJ was the press secretary
Press secretary was she
She briefed the press and made them laugh
With grace and levity

T. Ziegler formed the message
The message did he write
He’s bearded and intemperate
And very often right

Sam Seaborn was a speech-writer
A speech-writer was he
He accidentally did it with
The prostitute, Lori

In charge was Mrs Landingham
Until she sadly died
The President was most bereft
And we all sat and cried

While Josh has his girl Donna
O, unrequited love!
Although she finally said goodbye
When push came to a shove

Miss Margaret worked for Leo
And though not one to shock
Avoiding all the safeguards, she’d
Fake Jed’s John Hancock

Ron Butterfield saved all their lives
Saved all their lives, did he
Cuz he’s the Secret Service man
Sent from the Treasury

And this Administration
Though very sorely tried
Worked hard to help the people
And only sometimes lied

A fabulous pome, with everyone's favourite Treasury man, Agent Ron! I think the Toby verse is my favourite, all though all are wonderful. Thank you!

What a very splendid poem. The verse about the lovely Sam did make me laugh.

I think, possibly, that's the greatest pome I've ever read and when I think of TWW, I shall think of that last stanza, for it clearly sums up the show perfectly ♥
