So, now an old episode of Mock the Week is beyond the comedic pale. WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON? SERIOUSLY, WHAT THE FUCK?

I have emailed the BBC to complain about their reaction to the fevered complaints of narrow-minded, Littlejohn-reading fuckwits. I didn't use the word fuckwits. Didn't want to offend them...

That sounds like a champion idea. How does one lodge an anti-complaint?

Sadly, the only useful means of making contact with the BBC in the labyrinthine contact secion of bbc.co.uk seems to be by making a complaint. So I made a complaint about the reaction to the complaints. I'm cunning like a fox... *g*

It is probably because Ross is suspended so they cannot pay him for 12 weeks. If they show a repeat he'll earn a repeat fee. I imagine it is a legal technicality.

Sorry should have asked first - was Ross in the episode they intended to show. I pay so little attention I've no idea...

It was a random repeat of Mock the Week, first aired a year or two ago, which featured the joke in the subject title (from Scenes We'd Like To See - Things the Queen wouldn't say in her Christmas speech). Nothing to do with Jonathan Ross, Russell Brand, Andrew Sachs or anything involved in the current fracas. However, apparently David Davis (the MP, not a random bod) felt this was an outrageous piece of television, and complained. THIS IS FUCKING RIDICULOUS. (Plus it was extremely funny, then and now.)

Perhaps we could just write to David Davis instead and ask him if he shouldn't be spending his time a little more constructively.

I remember that one...was very funny! And why complain now and not when it was aired??? Some people just want to cause trouble!
