Katie sent me this link yesterday morning, and to be honest, leaving aside the ridiculous stupidity of the thing (what, so it's fine that for MILLENNIA people have been poncing around variously proclaiming the existence of God or gods, but SWEET BABY JEE don't let anyone suggest that the big G may not exist?), seriously, how do they expect to demonstrate to anyone that God does exist. Cuz isn't it sort of the point that no-one can? Twats.

To be honest, that was roughly my reaction to the story...tis a matter of faith and while there are some pointers for and against it isn't something you can prove in a courtroom.

Mind you my first reaction was to say that freedom of speech cuts both ways and if we want the freedom to publicly state our beliefs then we must let others do the same.

I am presuming the asa will find there are no grounds to investigate.

Love the Daily Fail Icon!

Oh, and it would be Stephen Green, wouldn't it? A man who gets a handful of people to write repeated letters to publicly financed broadcasting corporation and charities, threatening them until they censor whichever art he doesn't like, and then declares it a coup for democracy. He really is a cunt.

Oh, I'm sorry... in all probability, he's a cunt.

I actually don't mind religious type bilboards and whatnot - I don't agree with the statements but neither do I believe that Mama Mia is a 'must see' or 'brilliant'... I just ignore them, and occasionally tut. And with the inclusion of 'probably'... well, are Carling going to have to prove that their lager is, in all probablility, the greatest in the world...? Well, if Christian Voice decide that they must, then maybe they will.

Stephen Green is the sort of Christian who gives Christians a bad name. I can't imagine Jesus, if he were around today, would have much time for him.
