Gacked from [livejournal.com profile] ankaret: Give me the title of a story I've never written, and feedback telling me what you liked best about it, and I will tell you any of: the first sentence, the last sentence, the thing that made me want to write it, the biggest problem I had while writing it, why it almost never got posted, the scene that hit the cutting room floor but that I wish I'd been able to salvage, or something else that I want readers to know.

I almost didn't read "The White House Redshirt" because I thought it would turn into a tale of Republicans, but I found myself gripped by the suspense. I thought the traffic jam sequence was particularly fine.

I loved every moment of Jo Among The Klingons and it is my personal canon, but I have a particular love for the way that she insisted not only to the Federation hostage-rescue team but to her captors that she was in India all the way through. The scene in the restaurant when she tells them all about the history of Indian cooking was probably my favourite part, though the bit where T'Prang fell in a frozen lake runs it close.
