"In an interview with Jeremy Paxman tonight, David Cameron indicated that a Conservative government would target the north-east of England and Northern Ireland for public spending cuts." [source]

Yes. God damn those people in the north east. What with their thriving industries and the massive socio-economic advantage they have over poor southerners, they would definitely be my first choice when it comes to cutting government spending. I'll say it again: David Cameron, what a twat.

Also twattish: Labour (as exemplified by Miliband), whining that the public has punished them enough over Iraq. Diddums. Piss off.

...and that, right there, is why I keep feeling the urge to punch something whenever I see David Cameron on TV these days.

Dammit, right now I wish I lived in mainland UK, so I could, you know, actually vote in this election... (I'm in the Channel Islands. It's... weird...)

Fully agreed re: twattishness of both. Le sigh.

Yeah, there's nothing I can say to this which doesn't involved a lot of swear words and emphatic gestures. And yet, there are still people on low wages who believe that Cameron has their best interests at heart *is baffled*

WTF? I have relatives in Northern Ireland and seriously, it is not a place full of people featherbedded by the state. (And obviously I'm angry about the North East too). It just sounds like 'we will cut spending in places where they don't vote for us'.

Well, if they got off their arses and down a mine they'd have a better economy and wouldn't need hand outs.
Note to TLL members: this reply may contain some semblance of humour.
