Weekend burbling

I have survived my week of induction training – hurrah! And I have an ID badge on a lanyard, which would be more exciting if I didn’t look like a complete mard on it.
On Saturday,
katie__pillar and I larked round Richmond in a cliquey scouting out the territory kinda way (and discovered a rather nice bookshop and other fine things). When we got back to
weird_bird’s,
pim2005 had arrived, and we had an ice-skating-film-fest: always enjoyable (with raspberry pavlova). Sunday was spent in my PJs, being generally whiney and unhelpful (but I wiped mud off a chair!!). Ooh, and we watched the first half of The Long Way Round, which I hadn’t seen, and which was highly entertaining.
Ooh, and ice-skating planned for after the Oxford gather!
…
Why are some things so hard to ask?

Date: 2005-11-14 07:50 pm (UTC)1.) Martha Hayes, a woman fanatically devoted to Jesus Christ...
2.) At a convent, fragile, unearthly Sister Agnes gives birth (she says it's a virgin birth)
then also listed we have:
1.) Professor Henry Barnes decides he's lived long enough and contemplates suicide.
2.) A driven Manhattan architect, Amy, relaxes at a resort and falls for the masseur, Virgil, blind since age 3
3.) Gillian Holroyd is just your average, modern-day, witch, living in a New York
Those ice skating films, now they sound like a *blast* ...

Date: 2005-11-14 07:58 pm (UTC)Actually, the husband of someone I used to work with got a ticket for illegally parking his van. He is blind. He isn't a plumber though.

Date: 2005-11-15 08:41 am (UTC)The Long Way Round is great. I am mightily gutted that they have now released a three disc DVD set now as I already have the original set :(
